Would having new glasses (I already wear glasses) enable more use of the peripheral vision remaining? I've had two Eylea injections so far.

Hi, I would suggest you speak with your Doc about that however, I am planning on getting a new pair of glasses. My wet eye is 20/60 and dry eye is 20/25 so in my situation there would be improvement.

Hello Stephen,

When you are having treatment with an Anti-VEGF drug such as Eylea, your vision will be in a state of flux. A change of spectacle prescription may be helpful, but we would recommend that you have a word with the consultant at the hospital before doing so. He/she will be able to advise you when to do so. You may also be referred to a 'Low Vision Clinic' if spectacles are no longer helpful. This is an NHS service, usually in a hospital which would take over when an optician can do no more for your sight with spectacles. If you would like a chat about this, please call our helpline, 0300 30 30 111 (9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday).

Best wishes

I too have injections. I am moving ahead with getting new eyeglasses. I tested my good eye (dry macular the other eye is wet) by moving my present eyeglasses off my nose and closer to the TV or book I wanted to read and I saw things better. I don't know if that is my side vision or not but the improvement was cheering.

So I am going ahead and getting new glasses. Hope this helps.
