It can depend what medication your on as to whether a drink is ok or not.

I have sle and take a lot of meds which state to avoid alcohol but I have a few In moderation and I'm ok. I like red wine and have taken to watering it down so you feel like you're having a big glass when really it's small.

I have SLE and other medical conditions so take lots of meds, I do drink alcohol sometimes but have found out the hard way which drinks don't agree with either me or the meds! I drink soft drinks most of the time and safe alcohol for special occasions and celebrations, I know that I am fine on ciders and wines but have found some beers do make me feel unwell.

I'm sorry to admit , that since my diagnose of SLE and the break up of my 25 yr relationship ,I am drinking every night -at least a bottle of wine ,sometimes more ,, drinking helps me forget and numbs the symptoms of SLE

I was T total for 10yrs ,,because I had to be the sensible one in the relationship !!!!

Now a single mum with 3 kids , had to stop working (due to SLE) and had to move from my house to rented property

Drinking doesn't effect my meds , but I know it is not helping my health , been flaring for 8 mths
