Hi my lupus friends feeling down today as my arm joints are in pain on top of that I have fever..does any one know how long pip claim takes

Hi I was told up to 10 weeks im still waiting for an answer , I phoned them 21st Aug . I find the system very hard as we don't see our docs or hospital all the time so they don't see us on a bad day , Good Luck I hope you get PIP

Thanks Steph1 yep got to keep my spiirits up..these things take time..atleast iv now got a idea.

Stay strong hun hope you feel better I can relate to you it's awful but need to stay positive to get through!

As for PIP iv got to fill in my form yet not keeping my hopes high as it's apparently hard to get!

Thanx Annie, mine was filled in last week I went to a place called epic house its like a law centre it took 2 weeks 2 get a appointment but they were really good, they filled it all in for me..make some enquiries..t.c suki

Sorry to sound ignorant but what is PIP? my closest guess was PPI claim with banks

Hi sleepy 1 pip is personal independence claim..it used to be diability allowence..u can still work and claim..just google dla that should explain it also U can claim as long as U have a on going health condition..t.c suki

I was told that after the assessment it can take 4-6 weeks for a decision apparently ATOS are quality checking all of the assessments before they are sent to DWP

Hi im not at that stage yet my form was only sent off last week..its quite a long process, it takes 4weeks to get the form..i work 2 part time jobs im 39 I was diagnosed this year in may, not sure how long I can go on with the both jobs..as we both no lupus is unpredictable.
