Hi it’s me again they have not put me into hospital as they keep running tests to see why I have got bowel incontinence and that I have no feeling when it happens and why I have lost nearly 2st in weight in less then 2 months I have had a scan which shows kidneys fine liver fine but my bowel is fulll of water and very active I have finally been given incontinence pads free as I am on lowest esa until I hear after having had the medical if they will put me on to support group of which I waited months for and I also have tests on 5 jan 18 for scan of pelvic area and then anel test of the muscles but what could this mean of water in the bowel please

I am very sorry to read you have been hospitalised, but perhaps the doctors will be able to diagnose you. These symptoms must be very unpleasant - even depressing.

I am NOT a medical doctor and only a doctor can diagnose you. However, it sounds as if your body is not absorbing any goodness from the food you are eating.

Have they suggest how to ensure you are getting the proteins, vitamins and minerals you need? A nutritionist from the hospital should come and talk with you.

There is treatment for these symptoms but you need a diagnosis.

In terms of not feeling anything ie there is no muscle tone, this too is part of the diagnosis. If it is any comfort, I have little muscle tone in that area. I also have bowel involvement and I am being treated.

There are many conditions that give this watery bowel symptoms but they need to find out the cause. Mine is through SLE.

I know you have had a diagnosis of Raynaud's Syndrome,which is an autoimmune condition. Who is in charge of your treatment? Is it a rheumatologist? Or, are you being sent to no one in particular. What I am asking is whether anyone specialist is looking after you?

Ihope you are receiving support from family and friends.

I hope you will feel better and it must be very hard as Christmas will be here soon.
