Thank you Lorraine.

I will definitely follow up on your information materials. I am being treated in Germany so English info would be helpful!

P.S.

Lorraine, Just a thought........

We have been thinking a lot of Roy Castle since the demise of the Iron Lady - I wonder if they've made up & shook hands in the after-life!

People ask me how can I joke at times like this & my stock answer to that is "If I didn't laugh, I would cry" :-)

Hello crana

I don't know if this will be any help to you.I have not had lymphatic cancer but was diagnosed in June 2011 with adeno carcinoma .I was prescribed Iressa (a drug that helps to block the growth and spread of cancer cells). This tablet is only used if you have non small lung cancer.

It is made by Astra Zenica ,you can find more about it on the Internet or your oncologist can tell you if is suitable for you.Im still doing well on it ,know it is not a cure, and it will fail sometime but it has prolonged my life and Im happy with that.

Hope you get started on treatment soon.

Best wishes

Mags.

Thank you, Mags. I was diagnosed with a 3 centimeter tumour in my right lung and, after a PET-CT scan, a second very small tumour was found in my left lung - a double whammy - that's the bad news! It is also Adenol non-small cell cancer; no cancer found in the lymph-nodes or anywhere else as far as they can tell - that's the not-so-bad news! I must wait to recover from this operation for the removal of the small tumour before the whole lobe with the large tumour is removed from the right lung. I don't know what will happen after that but your info on Iressa will certainly be a topic I will bring up with the oncologist.

Hope I haven't rabbitted on too much but it's good to 'talk' out loud about these crafty cancer critters & thanks for listening :-).

I also wish you all the best & continued success for a long time to come.
