Hi everyone, Had my second biopsy and after much confusion of where I had to go I managed to tolerate the procedure with diazepam.
I had a different consultant doing the procedure and he managed to get a really good sample, still coughed up a small amount of blood but nothing like last time so after xray [no pneumothorax] I was allowed home.
Very sore today as expected but back in clinic on 29th for results. Will find out for sure if it is my head & neck cancer. Gonna try relax for nest few days and enjoy Christmas.

Glad to hear you had a successful biopsy, clearly a more positive experience this time. It must have been quite a thought to go through the procedure again, so well done you. I expect you will be a bit sore, so take regular simple analgesia and be kind to yourself. Drink plenty water and treat yourself to an ice lolly or some ice cream to ease your throat.
Hopefully now you can relax for Christmas and be ready with a positive approach for a clear diagnosis/ treatment plan.

Imagine you're relieved to have had it done. Now rest and enjoy Xmas celebrations if you can. the results will be the same whether you fret and waste emotional energy or if you put it to the back of your mind and try and get on with the festivities.... thinking of you.
whatever it is, hoping they can get you on treatment before too long.. in the meantime, enjoy your Xmas. My lung surgery had been 16th December, discharged 22nd but didn't find out until 13th Jan that I had lung cancer - that was in 2010/2011 so had all that time not knowing.... but tried to get on with Xmas all the same.... take care.
