My First Post.: Latest meeting today... - The Roy Castle Lu...
My First Post.
That's good that there are treatment choices - once these have been explained and you decide with them what might be best for you, it will be easier to deal with the 'what is' rather than fretting about the 'what if'.... which can be so difficult. hope you can distract yourself with things to do in the next couple of weeks whilst waiting...
Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated. Yes i'm trying very hard to stay positive for the next 2 weeks until I get more positive news hopefully ? Its really hard here in Wales especially now were in full lockdown !
at the start of lockdown there were a lot of very anxious people on one of the patient online forums and I suggested they order some seeds/plants so by the end of it they would have quite a display, order a craft kit to pass the time so maybe with Xmas coming up, it's an opportunity to make something as a gift, bake a xmas cake or read a book or two, complete a jigsaw, etc to help pass the time.... good luck. Where I live has been 'at risk' in stricter measures since August but thankfully held numbers relatively well despite them being high for some time - but do need local people to follow rules more closely. We're in tier 2 in all our local areas but know Wales (and parts of Scotland) have some really strict rules/laws in place. hope you can find a way to deal with things. will keep fingers crossed for you.
Hi,
Once you have your meeting with your oncologist in two weeks’ time he/she will discuss the results of the various tests and investigations you have had. You will get an opportunity to ask any questions related to any treatment which is planned for you. In the meantime I have attached a booklet ' Managing your lung cancer diagnosis' which you may find helpful.roycastle.org/app/uploads/2...
In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact one of the helpline nurses if you would like to talk to someone about any questions or concerns you may have. Tel 0800 358 7200(Option 2) Monday-Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm and Friday 9.00am-4.00pm
