Hi everyone. So today my oncologist phoned me. She was lovely and so positive. I am to have immunotherapy treatment. I will go next week and meet the nurse who will tell me all the information about it and make sure I understand. Then my treatment will start the following week.
I feel so much more positive now. Thank you everyone for being here.

My partner was recently diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer , adenocarcinoma with adrenal metastasis. Following two chest needle biopsies it was established he has a 70% PDL1 expression, and has been recommended for Immunotherapy with Pembrolizumab.
Like you, the oncologist was marvelous and we were fortunate to have the consultation in person which really helped us. Also like you, my partner is about to start treatment. He goes in Friday next week for what they call pre-admission, to go through everything. He then has his first cycle of treatment the following Tuesday.
Although we remain scared for the future, it is such a relief to get to this part of the journey. My partners cancer is not curable, but it is hoped he responds well to the Immunotherapy thus potentially extending his life expectancy. We continue to take it one day at a time and work on keeping positive, making the most of every day, and smiling and laughing.
Wishing you all the very best on your treatment, and hope to see you on here again soon.
