Behind every lung cancer patient stands a caregiver walking together with their loved one diagnosed with lung cancer.
Whether it’s a shoulder to cry on or a ride to the doctor — caregivers are there to help. The caregiver is often the person behind the curtain, ensuring their loved one has everything he/she needs as they face the toughest fight. They dedicate their time and heart to ensure their loved one is as comfortable as possible — both physically and mentally.
GO2 for Lung Cancer understands the important role a caregiver has in the life of someone battling lung cancer, and we want to honor these people who go above and beyond. We know how much their loved ones appreciate those that take care of them. Now is your opportunity to publicly thank your caregiver by nominating them for “The Wind Beneath My Wings” award.
Please share with us your stories and all the wonderful things your caregiver does to help you in your fight against lung cancer. Honorees will be recognized at our GO2 for Lung Cancer’s 18th Annual Simply the Best Dinner & Gala on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Great initiative to recognise those often who are less supported.... and who can often feel very isolated and exhausted too.
also worth remembering there are many who face this alone - without a loved one/caregiver who rely on virtual networks, friends, cancer support centres and nurses too.... and why organisations like Go2 are so needed....
Janette, I hear you loud and clear here. I hope through our organizations efforts and this community is that no one faces this completely alone. Thank you for being there for others on our community, we have a good one here because of people like you.
Pessa, no one should face this alone. Do request a phone buddy from the aGo2 Foundation. Look into a Cancer Support Community center. There are several around the LA area. My group bonded tightly and when someone didn't check in another member went to her house, found her unconscious and called 911. It saved her life. I pray that you are lucky enough to find a group like them.
Pessa, I want to echo but Denise shared. Having a group and a phone buddy can be helpful in sharing in your feelings with others who can relate and share how they cope. If you want to chat about group or Phone Buddy options send me a private message and we can set up a time to talk.
