Seeking Connection/Support

Hello everyone,

I am new to this community and am seeking a peer support - someone to be able to talk to. A little less than 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 NSC Lung Cancer with Brain/Spine Mets. I am only 35 years old, with a husband and 1.5 year old baby. This is all still so fresh and reality is still settling in. I am looking to connect with anyone going through a similar circumstance that can be of any help and support for me. I am open to emailing, texting, talking on the phone. Anything will be helpful for me.

Erica

Welcome to the lung cancer help page. I’m glad you found us. The Go2 Foundation that sponsors this page has a Phone Buddy program and will connect you to someone of similar age and disease stage.

The Go2 Foundation in concert with their affiliate ALCMI has funded a study into lung cancers in young adults.

There are organizations that offer emotional support for young adults with cancer (under 40 years old) , I’m not finding my cheat sheet with that information I’ll try to locate it and get back
