my husband starts treatment soon. Someone suggested I call the insurance company and them then for assistance. They will pay for treatment. I can't think of any other assistance they can give. Has anyone done this?

If a home health aid is needed, they should help pay for that. If he needs any kind of home care, it might be covered in full. Talk to his doctors. When I went through chemo, my husband was home full time to help me, but when I had my hip surgery insurance paid for a nurse to come see me a few times a week, and a rehab nurse to get me going on exercises and physical therapy.

I’ve been wracking my brains trying to figure out what services they might offer. I think Katherine has a better answer than the one I found. There was just a commercial on TV advertising for Medicare patients saying they offer rides to appointments and meal deliveries.

Do call your friend back and ask what they read about.
