How would a 2.8cm right middle lobe anteromedial heterogeneous soft tissue pulmonary module usually be treated, it’s located where I had my lobe to my 2 years ago, I know I’m pleased it’s in soft tissue and not a major organ or lymph node... does that sound right that I should be glads it’s that and would I do chemo or radiation, my dr will see me tomorrow and wants to Star a clinical trial? Any. Answers

I found out my node is in the middle of my chest so I’m going to do radiation to remove it if the radiation dr feels it’s ok to do so

Best to ask these questions of your doctor and ask him what guidelines he's following if you're unsure. Lung nodules are common and many are not treated - left on 'watchful waiting/vigilance/observation' until they reach a certain size although yours is of a size that they would treat. It will depend on many factors - including results of biopsy as now immunotherapy is often offered upfront if certain characteristics are present in the biopsy. the combination of treatments and the agents suggested will be determined by the biological results so none of us would be qualified to suggest without this detail and it may well confuse you and your team. Always ask questions if you're unsure and especially if they're suggested a clinical trial as it's really important that you understand what taking part in the trial may mean for you (and potentially others in future who will benefit from the trial results). good luck and hope you get a treatment pathway explained soon.

Because you’ve had prior radiation to that there’s a strong possibility they will not want to radiate it again. They fear that reradiating a spot will cause new cancer. Ask about proton radiation therapy. It can be give where prior radiation has been done.

It may not be in the tumor bed where they radiated last. Ask them about that.

Hi there! I am not sure that I know how to answer your question, but I would listen to your oncologist and do chemo and or radiation if that is what they advise. Good luck to you!

Saw the radiologist and the tumor

is sitting on of wall of my chest, near my heart so I go back tomorrow to discuss how much chemo I’ll need to a 2.8 cm node, I told him in not doing taxol and dude was happy where it’s at because it’s bear no lymph nodes or organs so she said not life threatening which calmed me down
