Hate to send this update, but don't want anyone to go through what my O2 supplier and I have gone through, including having the flight home ruined by yet another machine failure. This time I demanded that they send me a 2nd machine before I return one to them. Being semi-smart, I headed to the airport with a total of 4 batteries. The first 2 were used in the airport, and just before getting on the airplane Frederick, the airline guy behind the desk changed the batteries. YES, all 4 batteries were fully charged when I started out...and again I did not make it even halfway through the flight before the 2nd set of batteries failed.
Please, if you value your life, do not use them! My O2 supplier is mortified at their callous way of handling things, including refusing to refund the money I had to pay for the extra batteries (apparently Medicare doesn't pay for extra batteries) - I told them if they didn't refund the money I would keep the machine and the 4 batteries so that a lawyer could test them - they said to "Go ahead and hire a lawyer." So I talked to the paralegal and hopefully the lawyer will take my case. Also hopefully Medicare will not be using them as the contractor this January! First call tomorrow is to Medicare!
Yes, I 3/4 belong in the hospital, but I came home to an 84 year old mother who is very ill and I do not want to leave her alone or worry her.
