Has anyone experience high amounts of calcium? And what was the reaction.

My father has been at the hospital sense Sunday because his calcium levels are too high. He was shaking, sweating and had fever. We are extremely worried that this could be a bad sign. Can someone share their experience and let us know if this gets better with medication.

I’ve no personal experience with it but it is something I’ve heard of. A quick check of Dr Google tells me that it’s usually related to thyroid disease. Also known as hyperparathyroid disease.

Have they biopsied the thyroid?

Hi it’s a very hard decision, however hospice sometimes causes patients to bounce up because they are having their pain managed. They aren’t always sleeping all day by any means. I’m so sorry you are all going through this. Prayers to you and to your Dad.
