Absolutely Do Not Use Aeroflow to Travel

Sorry to gritch, but I think everyone should know what this company is like since they are a national supplier for O2 concentrators for travel.

A few months ago I went to Baltimore and they failed to include the power cords. They wanted me to pay for overnighting them. Bologna - I pitched a fit and they sent them.

This time, being a bit wiser, I told them I was leaving a week before actual departure. They sent me a machine with the wheel completely off. Had to fight with them to get another machine. The second machine came without power cords, so I sent back the machine without a wheel and kept the power cords.

I was repeatedly assured that since I paid for the second battery I would have 8 hours of O2. It died on the plane! This machine, even with the 2nd battery, only provides 3.5 hours of battery - each battery is supposed to last 4 hours!!

Just got off the phone with a supervisor at Aeroflow and it was a very unpleasant conversation. Now they claim each battery only lasts 2.5 hours, which is bull crap. They did not have an explanation for why they lied to my O2 supplier or why the 2nd battery did not kick in. After a lot of standing my ground, they are sending yet another machine. They were demanding that I send this machine back before they send out a new machine and I refused. The flight from Buffalo to Clearwater is approx 3 hours. If if comes down to it, I will keep both machines and use one and then the other.

In the meantime, I cannot go to the beach or to a pool and swim because neither has a place to plug in.

Yesterday it quit while grocery shopping! So I am stuck at my cousin's house where I can stay plugged in. This is turning into a terrible vacation!

Granted, I flew down to care for my cousin while she has knee replacement surgery - but at the same time I was looking forward to spending some time at the beach and the pool when she heals enough to not need me here every minute.

VERY ANGRY WITH AEROFLOW - their product does not stand up to what they say and their customer service leaves a great deal to be desired!! They are the only travel supplier my O2 company uses, but that will change since so many of us have had terrible experiences with Aeroflow!!

Thanks for information it's good to know. This has been awhile probably around 7 years ago I was flying to Arizona to see my sister we got to airport to check in and they said I couldn't go because I didn't have extra batteries. I get my oxygen from a local pharmacy family owned they never told me I would need those batteries . the people waiting on me tried to get a hold of my Dr to say I could go without oxygen and I could at that time. They did'nt get through to the Dr. Finally the lady supervisor said she was going to let me go. So I made it to Arizona. On the way back the stewardess got sorry and told me to put it under the seat my carryon had my meds in it and she made me put it in overhead. I should have turned her in but I didn't. I haven't been on a plane since. Sorry for writing so much. Hope you get to do the things you want. Try to have a good time. Love susiejo1948
