First day after cataract surgery

Here it is day one after cataract surgery and I'm thrilled. The discomfort is completely gone and my vision so much improved. It was definitely worth one day's discomfort. Next week I get the other eye done with much less apprehension. Thank you for all the support. Will keep you informed.

You are inspiration for me to have my other eye done!

Compared to what many of us have or will go though with cancer this was a breeze, but not something I would choose to do if it was not necessary. When you are ready, go for it.

Jean,

Sorry I didn't send a message of support earlier. I had cataract surgery last year, and it is truly a medical miracle. The worst part is the time you have to wait until you can get new glasses to match your new eyes! I'm very glad the first eye went well, and that you are already enjoying your improved vision.

Thanks Anita. I hope the second eye goes as well. Have been having difficulty adjusting to using reading glasses instead of bifocals. Have worn glasses for over 50 years. It will be a time of adapting to another new normal.

How are you doing? Think about you often.

Thanks Denzie. Now it's on to eye #2 on Wednesday. Will be a prisoner eye drops for a while, but it's a small price to pay.
