Hi just been diagnosed with lymphodema of both legs and arms.how do you go about getting compression garments??

If you are in the UK you need to be referred to your local NHS Lymphoedema Clinic. You could contact the LSN to see if there is one in your area, if your GP is unable (or unwilling!) to assist. The helpline number is 020 7351 4480

You need to see a Lymphodema nurse to get measured for compression garments . My husband got referred by his Macmillan nurse .

Make sure you moisturise every day . The lymphodema make your skin dry .

Hi Polly

Your local GP should refer you to the nearest Lymphoedema clinic. That’s where you will get help, guidance, treatment and the necessary compression garments. Where do you live?

I think that people who spell lymphodema without an e after the o live in the States.

Your local service would be at University Hospital north midlands NHS Lymphoedema service. They have an excellent team there.

Hello Pollyrav, I had Kaiser at the time, a doctor referred me to a lymphedema specialist, who then assisted me in getting measured for my lymphedema wraps. So basically, you’ve got to be referred, and the specialist will assist you from there.
