Has anyone been granted a disabled parking permit. I have Lymphedema in both lower legs and struggle getting around.

I have a blue badge because I have problems walking more than 15 metres on a bad day. I also am in receipt of PIP, upgraded after I was 65 so no Motability. However, by reading the small print on Road Tax form, I now only pay 50% of normal Road Tax ( they just asked for a copy of the PIP award). It is also worth knowing that VAT is NOT payable on specialist footwear ( e.g. Cosyfeet / Widerfit Shoes, etc)

Yes - my GP filled out the form for me and I certainly ticked enough boxes! However, you have to apply to your local Council for the permit, and if your Council's admin is done by Capita, they took six months before they sent this.

Hi I got a blue badge by going to my local one stop shop they filled forms in for me. As I’m over 65 yrs old and have no mobility benefit I was given the badge by local council after an assessment . From applying I had blue badge in two weeks......what a difference it makes.

Good luck
