I used to get that when I first started using it a few months ago but now I only get it occasionally, I think your skin gets used to it. At least with it my garments stay up and I can move. When of got too red I pur cortisone cream on at a night and it went away.

This is a wee bit left-field but when I lost all my hair from Chemo I wore a wig and I was given a roll of medical grade double sided tape to keep it in place. My skin is pretty intolerant to adhesives but it was OK . Your therapist might be able to source it for you to try?

I've used It Stays several times to keep my stockings up. On the first occasion, I was left with an angry red sore ring round my leg. This was because I hadn't been warned I needed to dampen the stocking over where the glue was so it was easier to remove (as the glue is water-based I believe). I was bouncing round the room with tears streaming down my face, biting my lip with the pain as I peeled my stockings off! My legs were sore for several days, sore enough for me not to be able to put my stockings on. Now if I need to use the glue, I ensure my legs are hair-free (I use an electric razor) and when the time comes to take my stockings off, I dampen the stockings where the glue is with a wet flannel, leave it a minute or two then they come off with no problem at all. As far as I am aware, It Stays is hypoallergenic (I think that's the word) so shouldn't cause an allergic reaction. Try a patch test with the glue, say, on your hip to see if you have another reaction.

A week later still red & sore, I don't have much hair on my legs, but I'll try an allergy test elsewhere.

Thanks to all for advice.
