Wait till you see what the doctor says but it could be. It may be confirmed or otherwise by taking measurements of the legs.

thanks . I have district nurses coming every other day as I got an ulcer on my leg which was getting worse due to all the leaking fluid. they have put me in some actico compression bandages and the swelling has gone down dramatically. they have recently measured me for compression stockings im just waiting for them . they blistered terribley and all tho I am waiting for test results the nurses have said its lymphedema but needs to be confirmed by the tests.

This is what happened to me, although it was years ago and drs did not really know how to diagnose lymph then so i was told. but had blisters and they burst went to GP they referred me to lymph clinic. i had compression bandaging and lost nearly 1 1/2 litres of fluid out of my bad leg and 1/2 out of my right.from then on i have worn compression stockings.so you can imagine the relief. it took me nearly 2 years to heal the wound and still have a dark tender spot where it was all the front of my shin and cannot stand water on my legs as they are so tender feels like my skin splitting,,,.

But touch wood i have never had any recurrence at all and i keep a supply of antibiotics in my cupboard in case of infection. lymph clinic advice. sogood luck xxx
