Are there any support groups in the RG postcode area. finding dealing with lymphoedema in my left arm more difficult than cancer 9 yrs ago

And I thought that it can only improve! Nobody talks about Lynphoedema when they talk about breast cancer. OK, nobody dies of Lymphoedema but it does make life complicated. Do you wear a special bracelet or chain to alert medical staff to your left arm needing special care in case of accidents, etc?
I need to sort a bracelet out and seen a few good ones. The sleeves are awful in colour and I find the medical appearance the worst. At least when I had no hair during chemo I could have a sense of personal style with funky headscarves. The companies are reluctant to discuss fashionable sleeves
I would recommend wearing a necklace as a bracelet might become too tight unless you would wear it on your right wrist which might not make sense. I just hope that it will be recognised for what it is! I congratulate you on being 9 years AF (after cancer). I call the time before I discovered my cancer as BC. Don't forget to let the group know the result of your scan. Good luck!
I had a medic alert card and when I flew I wore the sleeve before during and after the flight and had no problems. Took a first aid kit that could rival an A & E Dept and didn't get a nibble from any mosquito bugs.
Hi Neverenoughsparkle, I am not sure if Oxfordshire would be too far but I am looking at setting up a Support Group in or outside of Oxford. I live in Oxford and have just started advertising for a group on social media and at the clinic at Churchill Hospital in Oxford. I am open to meeting outside of the city, whereever suits the members - when I get any replies! Jemma
