Is there anyone having treatment with low level laser ... - LSN
Is there anyone having treatment with low level laser therapy (LLLT)? Are there practitioners in or near Hampshire?
riancorp.com/United-Kingdom... - there is a short list of UK therapists on this link. It's is a bit out of date - my name is there, but I sold my unit nearly 3 years ago. I know that there are more units in the UK - you could try contacting Haddenham Healthcare, as they are now the UK distributors for the device.
Did you use this unit for yourself or to give treatments to others?
I used it as a treatment for my clients. While I know some therapists enjoy working with it, I found it very time consuming - I changed to the Hivamat and get far better results.
How does this treatment work? Never heard of it?
Sorry, I didn't notice the webpage given by Lynora.
Didn't find anything under Haddenham Healthcare (Australian?)
Information I've found helpful at various websites includes use of the Riancorp therapeutic low-level laser at lymphoedema-oz.com/ & at lymphcontrol.co.uk/

Therapist using LLLT based in Tring on the borders of Herts, Beds and Bucks telephone 01442 824192 or 07914 634 882. Website- healtherapy.info/
I live in Australia and I am currently having LLLT treatment for pain management (not lymphoedema related) from a physio who also treats patients with Lymphoedema.
My mother in the UK has Lymphoedema - hence my interest in what's available for her. The standard is compression bandaging which seems to be administered differently each time by different people. The use of silver nitrate has caused her considerable pain and inflammation.
LLLT is used in Oz but there is still a lack of peer reviewed evidence to support its take-up more widely I think.

Why is your Mum being administered silver nitrate? Are they using impregnated dressings? Does she have a wound?

georgia2 asked: Hi Lynora, Which in your experience is the better treatment to improve fibrosis and stiffness Laser or the Hivamat?
Hivamat. I found the laser too time intensive, and the treatment area too restrictive (no more than about 10cm sq during an appointment. I loaned it to clients to work on their own fibrosis between appointments, but the progress/loss of fibrosis was always very slow. One client could not self-treat, as she was unable to hold the unit for any length of time, and could not see the time counter on the device. She also prefers the Hivamat.
