I primary lyphodema in my left leg . flair ups of cellutis and now on low dose pencillian. But new thing is exzma does anybody else suffer
Hi SarahJ I have always had eczema so with lymphoedma I have to be v careful about moisturising and ensure I am not sensitive to any of the ingredients. I have found Doublebase gel pretty effective. Also I treat any eczema patches on my affected (left) arm as promptly as I can with as good a corticosteroid as I can manage for the least time. In practice anything that makes my eczema worse also makes my lymhoedema worse, so if it's too hot and sweaty, or sometimes if too cold. Swimming takes a toll on my skin but is great for ld so I just use bags of moisturiser before and after. oh, make sure your GP knows what you can tolerate on your skin! Good luck
you are not alone, before 2011 I did not suffer from lymphedema in both legs or excema on my hands. with both issues can make life miserable at times, I don't have antibiotics regularly but I have managed to get a course to take on hols incase.
I would not say I have it now, but k would say when the lymph has been at its worst in a limb the skin gets very dsged very fast and it has been like it certainly. Particularly had it badly on my hands it was killing me. I hope it gets better as mine did when I got the swelling down for a bit. I don't ever use soap its too drying and irritaing and I am careful not to eat too much bread and this all helps me out. Hope you can find a way to help yours.
