Asthma under control; yet, coughing up stuff and breathlessness, on occasion.

My asthma is allegedly under control and not too bad, as measured by peak flow and spirometry tests. Nevertheless, I have periods of breathlessness, cough, and bringing up yellow stuff, deep within my chest. This last symptom just occurred a week or so ago; have finished some antibiotics for it. But I don't really understand what's wrong with me. The poor air here (from Canadian wild-fires) hasn't helped, either. Ideas of dx? Thanks.

Is it asthma causing the symptoms would be my reaction. I would ask your doctor if there was another lung condition starting to bother you.
