Let me introduce myself. I am Nimisha. Asthma has been one of the greatest health challenges of my life. It’s been years of pure hell. There were many flares over many months over many years during which I wondered if I would even make it through alive. Without modern medicine, I am venturing a guess that I would’ve had a much shorter life. Death by 27. I am a lifelong survivor of “severe, difficult to treat intermittent allergic asthma”. 49 years young now. Every moment I’m able to breathe better is a gift to me. A gift I don’t take for granted. Asthma has the power to seriously affect one’s perspective on life. I chose the integrative approach to managing this condition. And, finally, I can say, I am winning. I have lived and learned. And I am here to help when I can, and learn what I need to. Honored to be a part of this community

Hello and welcome,,

PutnamAsthma Captain
70 years young, welcome to the club. Keep fighting and keep the faith. It’s a life long struggle with not much empathy from people who have never experienced it. A little bitter today. Lol.
