For the first time ever....

I have had a really good night’s sleep! I am on Prednisone again since my respiratory clinic appointment. I don’t know if it supposed to work that fast? I could have done this weeks ago! So lesson learned. Even though I feel I can handle it all, apparently the results of the spirometry yesterday showed that I was in crisis. I have never been so hungry though... have to watch that. 😊

For those who are more experienced with a a prednisone burst than I am, I have a question. I am on 50mg every day for six days. That is it. Aren’t I supposed to be tapered down, and not just stop? I think she said my doctor was going to call me next week (my burst ends on Wednesday). She gave me so much information and so much was said I forget most of it.

With a short burst, you don’t have to taper off. Will you be hungry. So stay away from those

Cookies.

Yes, prednisone cravings are tricky. Take care.

A 4-5 day burst does not need a taper.
