Pulmonary Function

I just had a pulmonary function test and it was normal. I had my first asthma attack during a case of the flu in February. I’m 62 and did have asthma as a child, but had no problem since the age of 9 or 10. What does a normal test mean? Was the asthmatic bronchitis I had just a freak thing? Any input would be appreciated.
