Apologies I shouldve introduced myself a little bit first Im from the UK & also have epilepsy & high blood pressure
My favourite sport is equestrianism & have been riding for 40 years -but unfortuantely because of my ILD I had to give that up
Im under a combined clinic of Rheumatology & Chest Mediicne -which is quite good
My ILD keeps causing me Oxygen levels to drop to dangerous levels which has a time frame of 2 weeks & hospitalises me for a period of time on a regular basis
I mentioned in my other message -I thought things were moving forward when my specialist said she was going to refer me for an assessment for oxygen at home but on a previous stay I tested positive for covid
2 weeks after my release (my recent stay) it happened again & while waiting for an A & E for a bed I caught a secondary infection so that extended my hospital stay
My specialist popped in for a surprise visit -(it was nice to see her) & she told me that until Im covid negative & I ve got rid of this secondary infection - she told me that she felt it was in appropriate at this time to assess me for home oxygen -because any readings that would need to be taken would be inaccurate
This is a major set back for me I feel
