Does this look like jaundice?

Hello. I was in the ER last month for unrelated concerns that have since been taken care of. My blood looked fine, except an elevated bilirubin at 2.8. other liver enzymes looked good. CT scan showed *possible* fatty liver. I am 19 years old, 5’7 and 125-130 lbs. My diet and exercise could be better but I say relatively well. I am extremely concerned about possible liver failure or cancer. Has anyone experienced jaundice and had eyes that look similar to mine? thanks

Did doctors run any tests for a 'fairly benign' condition called Gilbert's Syndrome? It frequently leads to higher bilirubin levels that the norm. Your eyes are a little tinted in the extremes but very white round the pupil so it isn't necessarily jaundice, however, jaundice often does show up as yellowing in the eyes and the cause of jaundice is elevated bilirubin in your blood.

Perhaps you need to see doctors for some more tests, it doesn't sound like you are a typical candidate for fatty liver but it wouldn't harm you to watch your alcohol intake and your diet and exercise for a while. Fatty liver is reversible.
