Just to let people know, that at the moment the QE Hospital in Birmingham have put liver transplants on hold for the time being, and the liver ward 727 is almost empty.
Because people are now in lock-down and drinking at home. 17% of people are now drinking more that the recognised safe drinking limits than they were before the start of this virus. This message needs to get out there. Soon there won't be help available for those with alcohol-related liver disease. But no one seems to think this is important. Prevention i s always better than cure.
