liver cirosis

Hi

I had a ct scan and have been told i have cirosis of the liver i was only told on friday so awaiting to see a liver specilist my liver function tests are all fine apart from ggt which is raised at 94 which the gastro consultant found odd i do not have any form of hepatitis but am very overweight any advice would be appreciated

Hi if I may ask - is your cirrhosis alcohol related? As that could be an answer but failing that, I'm unable to help really. They're bound to say you need to lose weight so maybe look in to that before you see them again. The last you need is for the situation to continue and you needing a transplant.

I've found some meds make me pile on weight I proved that by stopping one to the point I was "clucking" and my wright dropped off in 2 days .. I mean before I did that I was going out on my bike and extra walks eating fruit instead of sweet stuff and couldn't shift any weight it was just the meds
