MY mum had aml and is suffering with painful hands and shoulders sm trying to find some pain releif for her she is not on any medication now onlyba monthly transfusion and is staying with me in Scotland for Christmas

Is the pain a new symptom? A review with her GP may be a good idea just to check what the pain is.

Regular paracetamol will control the pain but you need to find out what is causing it.

I would be contacting the hemo consultant or day ward that is treating her for advice and to inform them of the situation that's the advice we are given at our hospital
