LDN 4.5. Tablets or Capsules?
A tablet is similar to an aspirin, can be cut, A capsule is medicine in a gelatin capsule. Both are compounded, It is personal preference as to which is taken. They are equally effective.
The medicine should be the same in each (tab or cap). Are you able to speak with the compounding pharmacist and ask your questions?
I’m sensitive to filler ingredients and do not tolerate Avicel (microcrystalline cellulose (MCC)) so my LDN capsules are bound with acidophilus instead. I love the fact that compounded medications can be formulated to meet one’s specific needs.
I have my 4.5 mg compounded into a liquid that equals 1 ml. My stomach could not tolerate either the capsule or the tablet. I have been getting wonderful relief from fibromyalgia simply by holding the liquid in my mouth, under tongue for 2 minutes and then spitting it out. I don't even swallow it. It took nearly a year to get the formula that works for me just right. I've been on LDN now for nearly 4 years.
