Another question about grade of cancer

The thing I don't understand is if they cut the tumor out with clear margins and it's stage 1,no lymph node involvement... Why is the grade then important? They test the cells in the tumor... And they've taken out the tumor.... So no cancerous cells are left behind. So why does the grade matter so much?

I think it’s important to remember there may be no cells found at that point in time but my understanding is that some cells could be missed. There is no way to check every cell in the body. Also, whatever conditions may have created this change in your body may still exist.

My thought initially on diagnosis was to find the best “ rules” to follow so I could assure myself the cancer was gone and would not raise its ugly head again. I found it made me vulnerable to people trying to sell me on the next new thing, diet, vitamins etc. for me, I tried to be bold in asking questions, doing my own research and get 2 nd opinions. It is also a balance so as not let your life be consumed with the crusade and cancer. I think as time passes and answers come you will find this place of balance.
