Hi everyone. I am looking to drive up the engagement on this forum. Having a daughter with JIA myself I know how useful it can be to support each other and to celebrate the small wins in life with a community that 'gets it'. My question to you is how can we engage more on this forum?

Hello Debbie
I have called you many times for support over my granddaughter and found it invaluable. I would be very happy to be part of an active forum .
Whilst reading some past posts is there any evidence that Methotrexate causes infertility in JIA children?
HI, it has been lovely to talk to you. Regarding the methotrexate there is no evidence that is causes infertility, it is advised to stop taking methotrexate before planning on having child. Some do say stop for 6 months beforehand, however it is always best to talk to a HCP, when the time is needed. Hope that helps.
Hey, JIA warrior here. I know it's been a few months since you posted this, I was on methotrexate for a good few years from the age of 13 till I was 18/19. I now have 2 daughters aged 12 and 2. It is advised to stop but if your granddaughter is planning a family it's best for her to plan it with her Rheum consultant and nurse as theres alternatives she can have instead. Hope this helps x
Hi Debbie, thanks for your message may be a link to the forum on the website and info given to the New to JIA right start.
Thank you so much for your post. I agree, I will look at making it more prominent on the website and at the New2JIA Right Start as well. 😀
