How long i would have to take medicine??? Withine 6 year i have been undergone spleenectomy, azathioprine for 1 year, prednisolen for >6 mnth nd now on dapsone 100mg/day for almost 4 year......

Has the dapsone had any effect on your count or symptoms? I did nothing for me. Have the suggested rituxin?

Ya actually my counts remains above 50000 bt whenever there is any infection like fever or cold it goes down nd again increases after about 10 days without taking any extra medication. In synptoms purpura nd some bruise occurs only nothing else. No i havent been suggested rituxin. I want to stop medications yar. Is it that u have to be on drug for whole life???

No rituxin is given once a day over 4 weeks its a form of chemo.Maybe talk about weaning your dapsone dose slowly 50,000 is a good count to live with
