Does anyone no if its ok to take penicilan vk?

Ive been prescribed it for tonsillitis and 1 of possible side effects is blood disorder causing bruising and bleeding. Going back to doctors today as not getting any better and i may have glandular fever. X

I think it is the tonsillitis that causes antibodies so the platlets go low and then you get bruses. This is my eksperience after 40 years with ITP.

Mmmm I'm not sure about that I would go back and see your doctor. I have to take Penicillin V everyday as it helps my immune system as I have no spleen but had to have antibiotics when I had tonsillitis, they were ammoxycillin I think. The illness will bring your platelets down as said already, so I would go back and see the GP as if you have doubts he may give you something else. Get well soon
