Have just started on Revolade (Eltrombopag) just wondering if anyone has had good result with the drug and if they had any side effects

Hi Caza: I have been on Revolade just about 2 years in Dec., it is the only thing that helps, but my count is up and down, doesn`t stay the same. No side effects. Cheers for now.

Hi Brandy29 Thanks for your reply Hope you don't mind me asking what was your count like at the start of your treatment and what is it now My count is zero at moment and have not had a good response to any other drug I am just hoping that I have a good response to this Regards Caza3

Hi Curly71 Had my spleen out many years ago because of ITP Trying this drug as everything else unfortunately hasn't worked Regards Caza3

Fingers crossed for this drug. I know some people combine it with one of the immunosuppressants if it doesn't work on its own.

I am about to go down the splenectomy route to try and avoid the drugs. Its all a lottery.

I have had my spleen removed and was on Revolade for 2 years, I would not advise anyone to have their spleen removed as this does not work for everyone, I wish I had never let them go ahead with the operation. The revoldade did not work for me either but there were no side effects at all with the drug. I am now on nplate injections, and sometime they work and sometimes they don't, think we are all guinea pigs!!!
