Any experience with Promacta medicine? I have been taking Promacta for over 1 year and it has increased my platelette count to over 200,000.

Has it stayed at that number for the year? I`m on Revolade and it`s up and down, never high.

Hi, my mom has been recommended Revolade. Right now, she is on Dapsone. Would uou mind sharing your count before and after Revolade and for how long you have been on it? Also, do you have to take it for life?? Thanks.

Yes, it has stayed pretty constant.

Yes. It has stayed fairly constant

You're not supposed to aim for a normal count on that drug as it can induce clots. A count around 50 is better.

Where did you get this information from?

From the SPC (Summary of Product Characteristics). Promacta is called Revolade in Europe. The SPC is here.

How are you going to reduce the count if it is more than 50 with Promacta use? Perhaps it can be done by reducing dose and/or frequency. Any experience?

Thanks

I am on 50mg of Promacta and have been taking same a year end of July 2017. I do not believe it is meant for long-term use ... somewhere I read this on PDSA.org ...
