As I have said elsewhere these are driving me mad. Is it normal to keep having them?

I am a critical care nurse and I see patients after they have been in ITU at a follow up clinic. Many people tell me about the dreams and nightmares that they had in ITU and hospital and when they got home. I see people on a number of occassions and they usually tell me that the dreams etc fade over time.

It is three years in February 2013 since I came home, I can recall every dream, it is impossible to recall a normal dream, is there an explanation why the Icu dreams last so long, I really do not think they ever will ever go from a persons mind ,it doesn't cause me a problem like it used to, in the early days I recalled the dreams every night, that faded, I honestly don't think they will ever be forgotten forever
