Welcome Gothcorn99 - critical illness is a bit of a wake up call what ever age you are. Surreal to be well (ish) one day - wake up x days later and be unable to walk, sit up, go to the loo unaided or meaningfully communicate with anyone.

Trying to make sense of what has gone on & what is real or unreal, trying to sleep, trying to become independent again…monumental tasks for us all.

I’m still hoping to improve it each new infection knocks me back a bit but I am obturate and refuse to allow ‘this’ to be my lot in life.

To help others too, we helped set up a charity that offers free on line sessions, creativity to suitable strengthening & mobility sessions 😊
