My mom has been in icy and in a medically induced coma for nine days now,things weren't getting any worse till yesterday,is it safe to say that people sometimes to get better after getting worse

Yes - my experience was that. Nothing is guaranteed of course. I remained on life support for about ten weeks, followed by two weeks of ever decreasing dependency. Along the way I was at death’s door often. Rest too, eat well and look after yourself, your Mum will need you full of vim & vigour when she wakes.

Hi

Everyone’s experience is different. I was not expected to survive when I was admitted to ICU. After 10 days I appeared to improve before becoming even more ill than I was initially. Here I am though against all odds. Remember to take care of yourself so that you have the energy to cope with such a stressful time.
