I have just been away on holiday to Portugal for some R&R and sunshine. It has done us both the power of good. We cancelled a holiday in Croatia in June so this was very special. My advice to anyone going through breast cancer treatment is not to go away too soon. I am 6 months post chemotherapy, 5 months post surgery and 3 months post radiotherapy. I felt well enough to enjoy the holiday and indulge in a glass of wine or two and some scrumptious food. I was still very tired on occasions but recovered quickly.
I ordered a swimsuit from Nicola Jane. They have an excellent website, brochure and 2 shops ( not locally). I love it, it is a good fit and makes me feel 'normal' and is very pretty. Swimsuits are hard to find. They have an excellent selection of all swimwear, lingerie and prosthesis. Swim prosthesis are obtainable from them too but I have a good one from the hospital ( £25).
