hi i have 2 dvts in leg pe on lungs ,blocked arterie in heart ,hughes syndrome ,yeast problem,floaters in eyes ,diabities, and lupus anticoag,and ive just been told im fit to work, so ive appealed against it does anyone else have this problem thanks

Hi there, be strong and hang in there, most of us had to fight to get disability benefits. Get your consultant and GP to do you reports and appeal, it takes a long time. APS is so under reported the medical benefits services are only just getting the hang of how it affects us.

Hi Roy,

Your best bet is to appeal the process who was it that confirmed you fit? and how long have you been off before you were told you were fit? Are you claiming any benifits?

Is it a large emplyer do they have a union etc that may help

sorry but if you have all these issues this neds to be looked at

yes claiming esa, the young girl at job medical place,even specialisist laughed when told him they said i was fit to work

Hi Unfortunately it is not the condition per se but the way it affects you that the decision makers use to decide on the result of the medicals.

A lot of people make the mistake of just listing whats wrong with them but not giving examples of how that effects them in their every day life and how the symptoms affect what they can actually do. This is what they are looking for when deciding if you can work.

The new WCA is very strict and is stacked towards people not getting points - in other words to fail despite them saying otherwise. If anyone wants a copy of what they are actually looking for at a WCA please contact me and I will let you have a copy so that BEFORE you go to a medical you can be prepared for the questions and what to do so you have more of a chance of getting through it with maximum points.

Now you have to appeal. Either join Benefits at Work website (they have an offer on now) where you will have access to all the help you can get or message me and I will help you as much as I can.

I have sent you an email with attachments. Send B&W an email they will respond. They have an offer on until the 15th I think. You can join for about £15 which is well worth it if you have success.

You did not say what reassessment it was for. I have things relating to the WCA as stated above. If you are being reassessed for DLA renewal you will need to join and get access to the guides on the B & W website as with 60 pages to fill out there is too much to advise on.
