Hi Diane

welcome and glad to meet you.

I don't take this med, I'm just startin on plaquenil.

Azithiropine ( imuran). It dampens the immune system and helps with joint pains and fatigue.

Reading the side effects of any new med is scary, but as a member of lupus forum have had a nosey and there are some very positive reports of its effectiveness. Some members reported nausea, loss of appetite to start with and that they settled fairly quickly. Takes up to 4-6 weeks to start seeing any effect.Regular blood tests to monitor everything.

Hope you feeling well today.

Take care gentle hugs sheena xxxxx jessielou xxxxx jessielou:-) :-) :-)

I have been on this for a very long time, I feel better with it but I also have lupus.

I forgot to take it a few years back when I was away on holiday and my arthritis came back really badly.

You have to get regular blood tests when you are taking it and it can interfere with other medications.

I can't take plaquenil or prednisolone due to bad reactions so this is the best drug for me. Try it and see how you get on maybe?
