My insurance approved an Alere home monitoring system for INR? How accurate are they? I have to sign a disclaimer due to APS diagnosis!

My insurance is sponsored by the hospital I work at and yes it's an awesome plan! I'm chained to that place because of the insurance!

There are some apls sufferers who get inaccurate results with these machines and I am one of them. On the other hand many are able to use them so really the only way you will know if it's accurate for you is to run a comparison over several weeks, getting a venous draw at the same time as you do a finger prick test on your machine and comparing the results.

Thanks. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the risk.
