My insurance approved an Alere home monitoring system for INR? How accurate are they? I have to sign a disclaimer due to APS diagnosis!
wow, may I ask what insurance you have? I would like to get one of these....not sure of accuracy....but tired of running to doc every other week.
There are some apls sufferers who get inaccurate results with these machines and I am one of them. On the other hand many are able to use them so really the only way you will know if it's accurate for you is to run a comparison over several weeks, getting a venous draw at the same time as you do a finger prick test on your machine and comparing the results.
Thanks. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the risk.
