I also get terrible itching it keeps me awake sometimes and i can scratch it til it bleeds.. My doc gave me anti histamines which do work but he wont let me take them long term. I wonder if its another APLS symptom, Anybody know ?
Mel. I get eczema on my lower legs from time to time but I showed it to Prof Hughes and he said it wasn't APS related.

Hi
I have developed loads more allergies in recent years, most make ups, all perfumes, latex, even baby products, grasses, hay, guinnea pigs, cats etc. Sensitive to dairy and gluten. Affects skin and breathing, I take antihistamines permanently, carry epipen etc. Use steroids and cream sparingly when have too. The itching so bad sometimes I scratch till it bruises n bleeds. Horrid!!!
I have other autoimmune conditions as well, a couple of docs have said it's related to autoimmune disorders.
I only use plain, unperfumed products on my skin, and avoid to much exposure to the sun as i react badly to it.
It's knowing what triggers it and avoiding them.
Hoping you find some relief.
Take care gentle hugs love Sheena xxxxxx
I get a rash nearly every summer on my forearms. I really must remember to not allow the sun on them. It doesn't seem to make any difference whether I wear sunscreen. It itches so badly. I also find that my arms can be affected by the medic alert bracelet I wear. I do have a steroid medication that I can use, but I find that Aveeno Anit Itch cream works better and is safer.
Yes, I do, every evening at about 7.30pm, just after I've finished eating my dinner. It doesn't matter what I eat, or if it's hot food or cold food. It's urticaria (hives) only on my legs from the knees up, and lasts about an hour, and I have decided it's to do with the movement of blood and hormones round my body following the intake of food. I think, as we know we have dodgy blood anyway, we mustn't be surprised when it behaves differently to normal blood. Incidentally, I haven't been able to go out in the sun for 31 years, and my sun rash is totally different to this urticaria rash. Horrible, isn't it? xxx
