Hi Mary got to see Prof D'cruz and prof Hughes poped in last year they told me had stroke up INR 3-4 on plaquenil but I'm Ireland all my clinics say and of rd we don't know what to do ..I rang ST THOMAS they said Prof Hunt does not do private patients I would have to go on NHS WAITING LIST ..ive no problem with Docs letters but no APS specialist in Ireland ..

The waiting list for St Thomas' referrals is actually quite quick I was seen in about 6-8 weeks from referral to Prof. Hunt. I've never actually seen prof. Hunt or Karen Breen but have seen 3 different Dr's in their team but they do discuss everything with each other. The problem I find is 3 different Dr's means 3 different opinions on everything so don't expect clarity.

Worth getting a NHS referal for Prof Hunt, she is very thorough, 6-8 week wait apparently. Prof D D'Cruz sees private patients, I think at London Bridge but not sure.

Push them hard to refer you to St Thomas' it is in your GP's interest to have help managing your condition. MaryF

Oh & once your under Prof Hunt, and your stable, she does telephone appoitments. She also liases with your GP on everything.

Republic ..I rang Prof Hunt Secretary she said get refal letter from my Gp they send it over ..I was going to go private that desperate ...as here they are Good but knowledge not their ...fingers crossed c how this goes .tks

I'm under the care of Dr K Breen on the NHS and I can highly recommend her, but I'm not sure if she sees patients on a private basis
