Been on Warfrin for 5 months, my levels are rollercoaster. I been running a 1.0-5.4 and when went to the Dr. today it was 14.8. Why?

Warfarin is massively affected by some other drugs and what you eat and drink.
If your last reading was correct at 14.8 I am surprised that you have not mentioned being given vitamin K. When my levels shot up to 9 I was given a vitamin K infusion to reverse the effects.
Do not ingest any alcohol or garlic as these can increase levels still further. If you havent been given follow up, I would suggest you go along to A&E and get them to check again.
14.8 is very high didn't your Doctor do anything about it ?
I agree you should go to A&E if not
Wow 14.8 is not good I have been on it since 1992 and went up to 5.6 and the hospital phoned me and told me to stop as soon as they did the check and restart in 2 days then they checked me every 3 days until we got it sorted. It was one of my tablets that screwed it up. once changed it has been stable ish .
Some things that are not supposed to react as much with Warfarin have made mine go up. Tylenol made mine go up past 10. I have been on it 6 years. Mine is more stable now than it was when I first started.
Dr. had me get Labs at Hospital. Then came back Dr. gave me 10mg of Vita K and took me off the Warfarin till I go back on Monday to get rechecked.
