Do those of you who take Warfarin find a difference in your headaches if your INR is under 3 vs between 3-4?

Actually now you mention it. They say my INR is supposed to be between 2.5 and 3 but I usually feel better if its 3-4. They have been trying to get it down for the last month now, and it is just getting to 3 and I have had 2 full on migraines in last 2 weeks. Might ask about that next time I go. xx

I am not on this, but various other members on here, in fact rather a lot echo your experience. MaryF

I definitely feel better around 3-4. My target used to be 2-3 until I mentioned it to my GP who upped my target range. I now have a lot less headaches!

My INR target range is 2.5 to 3.5, but I have noticed that I suffer from fewer headaches when it stays closer to 3.5, I also feel better overall at the higher INR. I Have been on warfarin for about five years now, and take 7.5 mg five days a week, and 11.25 mg the other two days. My hematologist has been rather reluctant to raise it any higher, but I am still working on him to do so, as I feel so much better when it's higher!
